Tony Danza Raises Money for Lymphoma
Who knew?? Tony Danza presented a $3.1 million check to The (US) Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) raised through Olive Garden's annual Pasta For Pennies program by more than one million students throughout the country.
The check represented the spare change collected nationwide during a three-week period in the school year. The class collecting the most funds in each school received a pasta party courtesy of their local Olive Garden. "What an amazing effort by these students," said Danza. "Programs such as Olive Garden's Pasta For Pennies are a great way to introduce kids to community involvement and teach them that even the smallest gifts of kindness can really add up."
What next? Mary Tyler Moore and Pizza Hut? Anything for lymphoma I guess :-)
