A national retail pretzel maker aims to make an impact against blood cancers on National Pretzel Day, April 26.
In support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, gourmet pretzel shop Pretzelmaker is determined to give away 65,000 pretzels – the most in the company's history – while raising money and awareness for the LLS. Last year, the company gave away 40,000 pretzels.
On Saturday, April 26, customers at Pretzelmaker locations will be encouraged, not obligated, to make an in-kind donation to the LLS. If it can achieve its goal of giving away 65,000 pretzels, it will make a corporate contribution to the LLS as well.
Online donations can be made by visiting its Light the Night corporate management site here.
"National Pretzel Day is our biggest and most exciting day of the year," said David Smith, Pretzelmaker's vice president. "Because of the excitement and exposure surrounding our annual pretzel giveaway, we decided to introduce customers to our charity of choice, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We hope our customers enjoy their free pretzel and consider making a donation to the organization that brightens the lives of cancer patients and their families."
"National Pretzel Day is always a momentous occasion, but this year even more so," Smith continued. "We invite our customers to visit and help us reach our goal of giving away 65,000 free pretzels in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society."
