After Lymphoma

We all know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  But, as I found out, you might need a hand when you get out as all your energy has gone into surviving and "what do you do now".  These books might help:

After CancerAfter Cancer: A Guide to Your New Life by Wendy S. Harpham, MD. 1994, Norton. This book helped me a great deal in understanding where I was and what I felt. My highest recommendation. This book is available in both paperback and hardback

Childhood Cancer Survivors - A Practical Guide to your Future by Nancy Keene, Wendy Hobbie & Kathy Ruccione, O'Reilly 2000 - The book for those who survived cancer as a child or adolescent.  Follow-up care, relationships, employment/insurance, and medical issues are explained in non-medical terms and examples from survivors are given.  A bonus is a treatment record.  This book is a must read!  Now available from Amazon books in Paperback at a large discount.

Hodgkin's Disease: The Consequences of Survival by Mortimer J. Lacher, John R. Redman - still the definitive book on late effects from Hodgkin's treatment.  Out of print but Amazon can try to find a copy for you.
